About Magical Dad

The purpose of this forum is not to turn you into a magician. My hope is to collaborate with dads all over the world on some creative ways to make your kids your “fans for life.”  

Opportunities for making fun moments are everywhere, when you look for them.

In the real world, we have schedules to keep , we have to get home, get the dinner on the table, mow the lawn. And do a thousand things to get ready for tomorrow. While we’re rushing about we forget that the moment we let go was just as precious as the moment we were getting ready to experience. It’s nuts to plan for a trip to Disneyland and have a miserable week before, and after, the trip because circumstances are difficult. You can make the moments of the journey magic.

What you can get from this site is the ability to see your kids eyes light up every time you come home. Light up every time you walk in the room. These memories and magic moments are easier to come by than we generally allow them to be.Have you ever seen a father in say the library or a restaurant or the grocery store, and his kids were gleeful and happy and joyous, and wished you could provoke that kind of reaction in your kids? Do you ever wish you could make them behave without getting stern and strict, without threatening anger or punishment?

This site will teach you more than just tricks to use on rare occasion. As dads helping dads, we together can help each other to be the kind of dads kids will always brag about. Maybe you had that kind of dad?

You don’t need to change who you are. You don’t need to read Harry Potter books, or learn about Narnia or Middle Earth to be seen as a Magical Dad (though, why not?). You just take the love you’ve got and infuse it with a spark of fun.
